\nProf. Giorgi Pkhakadze (MD, MPH, PhD) is Professor of Public Health at David Tvildiani Medical University in Tbilisi, Georgia, and Chair of the Public Health Institute of Georgia. He holds a medical degree (MD), a Master of Public Health (MPH) and a doctorate (PhD), with more than two decades of experience spanning clinical medicine, public health research, health policy and international migration health.\n<\/p>\n

\nHe serves as a consultant to the World Health Organization on health and migration, and as Secretary\/Treasurer of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) Section of Public Health. He is Editor-in-Chief of the Georgian Medical Journal<\/a> (gmj.ge<\/em>), an independent, peer-reviewed open-access journal covering medicine and public health research.\n<\/p>\n
